So
far, Julian Castro is nowhere to be seen in any of the 2016 presidential
election candidates that I could find. I checked a lot of different websites
but for some reason he was nowhere to be seen. The only websites that mentioned
his name about running for the 2016 presidential election were from articles a
couple of years ago. I couldn’t find a thing about Castro running for the 2016
presidential election from after August of 2014. No word about it other than
that. The articles also that I was looking over before weren’t that reliable.
They were more just mentioning his name among others since it was pretty early on.
Clinton or Bush were always seen as some of the more obvious runners for the
2016 elections but Castro was more of a question mark at that point and even at
this point.
Judging
from what I’ve found online, I can’t really tell what exactly Castro’s plans
are. I don’t know if he is just a low running candidate or if he isn’t even
running at all. When I even just tried searching for Castro 2016 presidential
election I couldn’t find anything that was recent. Everything came from the
past year or two talking about how he “might” run for the 2016 election. There
was nothing set in stone and there wasn’t even any personal statements I could
find from him saying that he was, or wasn’t running. This threw some red lights
in my head. Either he isn’t running, or he just hasn’t really been noticed.
Either way all of these results shocked me quite a bit. He comes from such a
strong background of politics and has so much recognition for all of the things
he has accomplished it just doesn’t make any sense to me. I am hoping that he
is going to end up running for president because he has touched on a lot of
major concerns that we have had in the United States and has been quite
successful overall.
Although
there have been no official statements, I have seen a lot of possibilities of
Castro potentially being Vice President to Hilary Clinton. This wouldn’t
surprise me. Castro and Clinton both have a heavy background in politics, both
democrats, and both have some pretty similar outlooks on certain problems the
United States are facing. As of now, Clinton is at the top of almost every poll
that I have looked at and Castro remains to be seen. Is this part of their
plan? I think there’s a chance since there are no official statements made by
Castro about the elections and Clinton is quite the opposite.
I
personally believe that these polls actually have a lot to do with the 2016
elections. I don’t think that there are going to be too many surprises in terms
of who is going to be leading the elections when it comes closer to the
elections. A couple positions might change around a couple of like who is in
first or second but other than that I think it’s generally going to remain the
same.
